Performance pre-topped 0.15 mm piston set (6 pistons) with upgraded crown design. Suits Nissan TD42T/Ti engines. This special piston (which is not offered by OE) has been designed to compensate for the decking of the block. These pistons are strutted, oil gallery cooled and have an alfin insert in the top ring groove. The body has been phosphated and the crowns are anodised. Crowns are ceramic coated with Cerakote® V-136 Piston Coat and skirts are coated with Cerakote® P-109 Microslick Dry Film Lubricant. Piston includes 30 mm gudgeon pin and circlips.
Cerakote® V-Series High Temperature Ceramic Coatings are designed to protect metal substrates in high temperature applications. Cerakote V-Series High Temperature products are practical, performance-based coatings intended for exhaust systems and engine components. Additionally, Cerakote V-Series coatings are durable, resistant to thermal shock and designed to withstand extreme use temperatures of up to 1800°F - 980°C. This helps to maintain even heat distribution across the crown, which reduces softening and premature failure from extreme temperature hot spots. Reduced heat loss to the piston equates to better fuel burn rates, and increased power and fuel economy.
Cerakote® P-109 Microslick Dry Film Lubricant provides a low friction surface for metal-on-metal contact. This P-109 Microslick coating is formulated to withstand extreme temperatures (1,200°F - 648°C). This makes the coating ideal for pistons and other wear components in high temperature systems, and P-Series coatings maintain excellent adhesion even after repeated thermal cycling. These coatings provide superior protection again high wear, galling and corrosion. It will help prevent piston scuffing in the bores in most marginal lubrication conditions.

Performance Nissan TD42T/Ti piston set (6 pistons) with upgraded crown design. These pistons are strutted, oil gallery cooled and have an alfin insert in the top ring groove, body has been phosphated, crowns are anodised and then ceramic coated, the skirts are coated with MoS2/Teflon. The non-porous ceramic crown coating can withstand temperatures of up to 1300°C and pressures of up to 69,000 kPa (10,000 psi). This helps to maintain even heat distribution across the crown, which reduces softening and premature failure from extreme temperature hot spots. The MoS2 skirt coating contains Teflon and is a dry film lubricant. It adds 0.025 mm (0.001") to the skirt diameter and can withstand temperatures of up to 600C. It will help prevent piston scuffing in the bores in most marginal lubrication conditions. Reduced heat loss to the piston equates to better fuel burn rates, and increased power and fuel economy. Piston includes 30 mm gudgeon pin and circlips.
